Contemporary Pro Class with Thomas Page

Join us for a groundbreaking initiative at Swindon Dance as we launch a pilot program aimed at reinvigorating professional-level, Contemporary dance classes  for professional dancers/graduates aged 18+ in the region!

These exclusive sessions are meticulously crafted to cater to the needs of seasoned dancers, with a strong emphasis on honing your technical ability and pushing the boundaries of your learning experience in the company of fellow artists.

During this pilot program, each segment will focus on a distinct aspect of dance, spanning from intricate floor work to the art of improvisation, delving into contact and release techniques, and exploring the renowned Cunningham-based methodologies.

Your journey will commence under the expert guidance of the exceptional Thomas Page, and we anticipate that, after the successful pilot, these classes will be led by illustrious guest artists who will bring their unique insights and expertise to the forefront.

Thomas Page is a contemporary dance artist from Oxford and the Artistic Director of Thomas Page Dances (TPD). During his final year of training at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Thomas became a FreeSpace Artist of Studio Wayne McGregor. Thomas was also nominated by Laban to be part of The Place’s Open Borders Project 2019. Thomas is currently an Associate Artist of The Old Fire Station Theatre, SPARK Artist in Residence at The Pegasus Theatre and is currently one of Swindon Dance’s Commissioned Artists.

We appreciate that the cost of living is affecting people so the cost for these classes is based on a ‘pay what you can’ basis.
