Christmas is fast approaching as is the last week of term and thoughts are turning to the festive season ahead.
We are opening up our Childrens and Young Peoples Classes next week (4 – 9 December) for WATCHING WEEK – this is an open invitation for parents, guardians, carers, friends and other family members to come along and watch what their child(ren) have been learning in their weekly classes. There is no need to book and it is free to come along – we look forward to seeing you there!
Nurture your child’s creativity through the magic of Jazz dance with our NEW Childrens Jazz Classes on Tuesdays.
Baby Jazz for ages 1.5 – 3 yrs will be running from 10.30am – 11am and Childrens Jazz for 3 -4 yrs will run from 4.15pm – 4.45pm – each class is taught by Sarah Josh and costs £4.40 / £3.10 per class.
Professional Classes are back!
Join us for a groundbreaking initiative at Swindon Dance as we launch a pilot program aimed at reinvigorating professional-level, Contemporary dance classes for professional dancers/graduates aged 18+ in the region!
Dates: 7th & 14th December.
7th December will be taught by Thomas Page who trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and is Artistic Director of Thomas Page Dances (TPD) Thomas is currently one of Swindon Dance’s Commissioned Artists.
14th November will be taught by Guest Artist – Adrienne Hart, Artistic Director of Neon Dance.
Adrienne trained initially at Swindon Dance and then went onto train at London Contemporary Dance School. She is currently a Studio Wayne McGregor Questlab Artist.
Classes for Adults 16+ years – a few highlights …
On Monday’s discover your inner rhythm and experience the joy of tap dancing with our TAP classes! With classes to suit all abilities, the dynamic movement combinations are guaranteed to get your toes tappin’ and energy flowing.
On Wednesdays from 7pm – 8pm, unleash your creativity in a General Level CONTEMPORARY Class led by Vicki. This class combines elements of lyrical Jazz, Ballet, and Modern dance. Move to the music and discover your own creativity within.
If you are a more experience dancer, why not make an evening of it on Thursdays?
Starting with a BALLET class from 6.45pm – 7.45pm led by Sarah Ferris, improve your posture, coordination, balance, and strength. With a focus on fitness and artistic expression, this Ballet class is the perfect way to achieve your fitness goals.
Follow this class with a high energy JAZZ class led by Kimberley Brewser from 8pm – 9pm – a great way to sharpen your fitness, balance and co-ordination alongside some funky beats.
