We work with a range of partners networks and supporters whose support enables us to achieve more and have a broader impact on our local community and national dance ecology. 

Funders

UKDN – UK Dance Network  is a network of 28 dance organisations whose primary role is the development of dance in the context of presenting, programming and commissioning www.nationaldance.co.uk

People Dancing – The Foundation for Community Dance
Swindon Dance is a member of People Dancing which is a UK-wide organisation that exists to develop opportunities for people to experience and participate in dance. People Dancing work with, and on behalf of artists, organisations and teachers involved in leading, delivering or supporting community participatory dance. www.communitydance.org.uk

One Dance UK
One Dance UK is the national body for dance in the UK, formed by the merger of Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (ADAD), Dance UK, National Dance Teachers Association (NDTA) and Youth Dance England. The organisation represents dancers at all levels of the dance industry, and champions excellence in education, youth dance, dance of the African diaspora, performance, health and well-being, management, leadership and career development.  www.onedanceuk.org/

National Dance Centres for Advanced Training in Dance (CATs), Centres for Advanced Training (CATs) in Dance identify children with exceptional potential in dance and develop their talent through pioneering programmes, creating and inspiring future generations of world class dancers and choreographers. www.nationaldancecats.co.uk/

UK Dance Conservatoires and Vocational Colleges, these institutions train some of our top dance professionals in the UK.  Many of the young dancers from our Talent Development Programme receive mentoring, coaching and advise from tutors of these organisations and go onto to oe of these schools to complete their full-time training before entering the professional world.

Partnerships

The Royal Ballet School (RBS) primary STEPS Partnership is funded by the DFE and run by the RBS Dance Partnership and Access Programme in Swindon with Swindon Dance. Every Autumn primarySTEPS provides year 3 pupils in Swindon with access to a first experience in dance, with pupils then selected to continue working with RBS through a three year programme in Swindon.  www.royalballetschool.org.uk/participate/primary-schools/

Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) Swindon Dance is an approved dance centre of the ISTD to deliver the Level 6 Diploma in Dance Pedagogy accredited by ISTD. www.istd.org/home/

Certa Access A partner involved on the accreditation side of our two full-time courses; Access to Higher Education (dance) and Access to Higher Education (urban Dance) – part of our Pre-vocational Training Programme. www.certa.org.uk/

Artsmad is a local strategic development initiative comprising of local and regional arts and education organisations that together help children and young people in Swindon to access high quality arts experiences. www.artsmad.org.uk

Big Hat Arts & Disability is an inclusive network combining Reach Inclusive Arts, Swindon Dance, Upham Road Day Centre, Music Alive, Gigabit, Commonweal and Crowdys Hill Schools. It exists to develop opportunities, raise awareness and increase access to performing arts, particularly for disabled people. www.thebighat.org.uk

Prodance is a professional urban dance agency that works with some of the most influential dancers in the world helping them achieve their goals as professionals. Prodance works closely with Swindon Dance mentoring and coaching our young talented urban dancers. www.prodance.co.uk

Plague Dance Crew are one of the most respected street dance companies on the planet. Formed by Mukhtar Omar Sharif Mukhtar (now a lead dancer and choreographer for Cirque Du Soleil). The Jam Movement! and Your Next Move Our partners in our yearly 5-day international Street Dance festival and West Country Clash battle event and our development as a centre of excellence for Street Dance.  Find them on social media
