Attention young dancers! If you’re eager to step up your game and take your skills to new heights, Swindon Dance has some exciting news for you. We are now offering a range of audition opportunities for aspiring dancers between the ages of 9 and 19. With a variety of programmes available, this is your chance to turn your dance dreams into reality. The auditions will take place this summer, with successful candidates starting their training in September 2023. Step2 | 9 – 13 years
Steps2 is part of our talent development programme, specifically designed for young dancers aged 9-13. Typically dancers joining this may have attended a dance club or class in the past and want more of an extended session and work on improving their skills. This programme provides a foundation in contemporary, ballet, and jazz styles, enabling aspiring dancers to build a strong skill set for future training. The Steps2 classes take place on Fridays during term time, from 4:30pm to 6pm.

Swindon Youth Dance Company | 13 – 19 years
If you’re aged between 13 and 19 and looking to take your dance skills to the next level, look no further than the Swindon Youth Dance Company (SYDCo). We’re currently inviting passionate dancers to audition for our 2023 cohort, and the process is simple: come prepared for a contemporary technique class and a short creative task – no solo performance required. SYDCo is the flagship regional youth dance company, providing a pathway for young dancers to enhance their technical, choreographic, and performance abilities. Centre for Advanced Training | 11 – 16 years
If you’re a serious young dancer aged between 11 and 16 with a passion for taking your skills to the next level, our Centre for Advanced Training is the perfect program for you. Dancers from all over the South West come to attend this training, which offers a more intense approach and provides a clear pathway for future progression. Training takes place on either Saturday or Sunday during term time, with a full day of training, and then three days of creative work during half terms. Financial support is available for those who qualify. Dancers can continue on this programme until they are 19.
