Artist Performance Projects

Swindon Dance – enriching lives through dance

Our Artist Performance Projects are new initiatives starting 2023-24 that aim to present new professional performance works in different ways that will help rebuild audiences for professional performances.

We will be working with six artists who are creating new works that are not supported by one of our Professional Artist programmes and will focus on a project based, collaborative way of working together.

Each project will target a specific audience and will culminate in a performance event for example, live performance, informal performance, sharing of work in progress, pre-view of work, or a lecture demonstration.

Target audience groups

  • Talent Development Programme,
  • Males and those identifying as male,
  • Children and young people with disabilities including our Salto! Integrated Programme,
  • Unrepresented communities such as non-English speaking, African, Caribbean, Asian communities,
  • People who are not engaged with the arts due to various barriers, and
  • Our local aging communities and the health issues they face – dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s.
