Our Talent Development Programme offers the young passionate dancer various opportunities to develop their technical, creative and expressive dance skills providing them with a clear pathway to vocational training and a career in dance if they so choose.

Primary Steps

Provides young children aged between 7-11 years with a unique opportunity to experience ballet from one of the country’s leading vocational dance schools – the Royal Ballet School.

Provides a step up in ballet can contemporary dance plus performance opportunities for children aged 9-12 years of age and can be a transition to the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). 12 dancers have so far progressed from STEPS2 onto the CAT.

The Centre for Advanced Training

The Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) offers pre-vocational training for young dancers demonstrating exceptional potential and the commitment and passion for a career in dance. It is 1 of only 9 CATs across the country.

Pre-vocational Training Programme

For dance students wishing to progress onto full-time dance training at a dance conservatoire or vocational college. This programme will give them the required level of dance training alongside a nationally recognised academic qualification needed for entry all in one programme.
