Richard Chappell Dance

Internationally renowned ensemble Richard Chappell Dance returns to Swindon Dance with ‘UPLIFT’, a specially curated celebratory programme of transformative dance from some of the brightest young choreographers and performers working today.

The evening will consist of 3 x 15 minute dance pieces

Dance artist and climate and social justice activist Marla King presents her work Seedlings. Set to music performed by live harpist Anna Philips, Seedlings is an exploration of ecological empathy and a longing to rediscover lost connections that questions what could happen if we gave space to heal our relationship with nature.

Interdisciplinary movement practitioner, Billy Maxwell Taylor brings his latest work Rain Pours Like Coffee Drops, a movement meditation on an office world where it always rains. With contemplation on burnout, energy levels and ceaseless workload, this sensory experience brews on the mind, like coffee.

Plus a performance from South West based youth dance companies, showcasing the next generation of dance artists from across the region.

Running Time:  50 mins no interval
