Exeter Contemporary Programme Open Day
The Centre for Advanced Training is excited to invite you to attend an in-person Open Day. The day is suitable for young dancers aged 11–17 years, interested in joining the Exeter Contemporary Programme.
You will see what it’s like to train with the Centre for Advanced Training, get more information, and meet the team. You will get to participate in two short classes, one contemporary, and one creative. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and watch our current students in action.
We recommend that you attend if you are thinking of joining the Centre for Advanced Training scheme. If you have not previously heard of the Centre for Advanced Training, then attending this day is the perfect way to find out more. lease note that the day is free to attend and that there are fully funded places available on the programme. This event is suitable for students thinking of joining CAT in September 2022. Parents /Guardians are encouraged to attend.

Please note the Exeter CAT meet in several locations across Devon including DanSci DanceStudio, Plymouth University and The Hall at Exeter. The location(s) for September 2022 will be confirmed soon.
What is the Centre for Advanced Training?
Centres for Advanced Training (CATs) in dance help identify, and assist, young people with exceptional potential, regardless of their personal circumstances, to benefit from world-class specialist training. Successful applicants are able to access highly specialist dance training in their local area, whilst continuing to live at home. Students travel to attend the Swindon Contemporary Programme from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The CAT supports travel costs and training fees.
CAT’s operate from host organisations recognised for their excellence and commitment to the arts and vocational training. Each partner is unique in their delivery of the scheme some embracing Contemporary Dance whilst others focus on other styles. To find out more about joining attend an open day.
