Katie Purcell

Katie Purcell trained at London Studio Centre graduating with a BA hons degree. She now works at Swindon Dance as the Education and Development Assistant Manager, coordinating and managing a variety of performances and projects in and out of the building including the Royal Ballet Schools Outreach Programme Primary Steps. Katie has taught a range of classes at Swindon Dance over the past 10 years including Street Dance, Tap, Jazz and Youth Groups. Katie now teaches the Children and Youth Tap classes for 7-10yrs and 11-16yrs as part of the Swindon Dance Community Dance Programme as well as teaching a range of after school and curriculum dance classes as part of the DanceOUT programme to schools in Swindon and Wiltshire.
Katie is also the company manager, rehearsal director and performer of the professional tap company Sole Rebel Tap, performing and touring work all over England in theatres and festivals.
In 2012 Katie gained the teaching qualification DDTAL (Diploma in Dance Teaching and Learning) with Trinity Laban.
