Emma Carter

Emma trained on Dance Foundation course, Swindon and Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds. She went on to perform with DansConnect Performance-led Dance Education Company (Choreography by Mark Bruce, Kenneth Tharp, Scott Ambler, Banxy), and Motionhouse Dance Theatre (Choreography by Kevin Finnan), before becoming one of the founder dancers of Swerve Dance Theatre Company (Choreography by Helen Ganberg). Emma has worked with other choreographers including Laila Diallo, Marie-Louise Flexen, Kitsch n Sync Collective (Kim Noble), Hannah Ballard, and jointly created and performed a site-specific duet with Michael Mitchell of Dance Aware.

Emma has also worked as Dance Education and Access Officer at Swindon Dance, and Dance Artist for youth dance in Hampshire, and continues to deliver dance regularly as an Independent Dance Artist.
