Marie-Louise trained with Swindon Dance on the Foundation Dance Course, and then completed her dance training at London Contemporary Dance School in 1992.

She has performed with Seven Sisters Group Dance Company (1996-2001) and was a member of Contrived and Exaggerated during the 1990s. She has also worked with Yael Flexer, Velcro Dance Company, Rosemary Lee, Leilia Dialo, Jarvis Cocker and Curious Company.

Since 2004, Marie-Louise has been creating dance, physical theatre, site-specific work and cabaret productions. She was a Place Prize finalist in 2004 and a Total Theatre Award shortlisted nominee in 2009 for Martha and Arthur.
