Assistant Coordinator for the Education and Development Team
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and organised person with a passion for Dance in the community, youth and educational sectors to join the Education and Development team at Swindon Dance.
You will assist with the co-ordination and administration of the Education and Development team on a range of exciting projects. The role includes practical Dance delivery, project co-ordination, audience engagement and team working. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to providing people of all ages and abilities the highest quality dance opportunities.
Salary: £16,000 pro rata
Hours: 2.5 days per week (18.75 hours) Days to be discussed at interview
Closing date: Tuesday 1st November 2016 at 5pm
Interview date: Monday 14th November 2016
Start date: week commencing 3rd January 2017

We are looking for talented individuals to join our Board of Trustees

Becoming a Trustee of Swindon Dance will give you an opportunity to engage in the evolution and
development of one of the UK’s leading dance development organisations. You will be responsible,
along with the other Trustees, for ensuring the strong and effective governance of the organisation
and its financial sustainability and compliance with all relevant legislation. You will be involved in
strategic planning and help shape the organisation’s vision, advocating and championing the
organisation and helping us to build on our successful track record and realise our goals and
Our Board is pivotal to the future sustainability and development of the organisation and the ideal
candidates will not only contribute to the artistic and organisational vision of Swindon Dance but
will also bring ideas and practical thought to the team.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with one or more of the following areas of
o Senior strategic management;
o Digital technologies;
o Marketing & PR;
o Dance artists;
o Venue management;
o Financing / accountancy.
You will be required to commit to between four and six trustee meetings a year plus active
participation in working groups (approximately four meetings a year) and to attend some
performances and events.
Trustees meetings are held in central Swindon (an hour by train from London and Cardiff, 45
minutes from Bristol) during evenings with other meetings scheduled flexibly. Reasonable travel
expenses may be claimed if required.
As a charity and a limited company board members are both non-executive directors and trustees.
Board membership is a voluntary position.
