Swindon Dance in partnership with State of Emergency and the Wyvern Theatre brings you THE BIG MISSION Festival 08 a three-day national and international dance extravaganza, packed full of cutting edge performances, masterclasses, debates and networking opportunities.
Celebrating the range and diversity of black talent, the festival gives promoters, artists and dance enthusiasts the chance to watch, participate in, create and discuss some of the best professional dance around.
The festival presents the work of 25 dance companies, with international artists such as Georges Momboye Dance Company (France) and Germaul Barnes (USA) rubbing shoulders with established and emerging UK talent. See opposite for a list of performers.
The welcome speech will be given by Colin Jackson CBE, on Thursday 8th May. He will speak about his career and the importance of sport and fitness.
VENUES + BOOKING
The main performances are open to the public and bookable through the Wyvern Theatre box office. Masterclasses, surgeries, etc., are open to festival delegates and can be booked through
State of Emergency.
