D-Boyz @ The Royal Ballet School

Wednesday 6th June, White Lodge, The Royal Ballet School

Swindon Dance's legendary all-boys dance group D-Boyz will take White Lodge by storm this summer, performing their piece, Blast Off. This is the second time the group has been invited to perform at the Royal Ballet School.

Swindon Dance has a unique partnership with the Royal Ballet School through its Partnership & Access Programme, primarySTEPS.

D-Boyz is a creative group of energetic individuals aged 8-10 years, who work in a variety of dance styles to improve their technical, creative and performance skills — in their own fun, fresh, dynamic way. In 2012, D-Boyz have be making Blast Off, inspired by the 2012 London Olympics, choreographed by our Dance Education & Development Manager, Emma Langhorne, and members of the group.

Open days will be held in April/May and auditions will follow in May/June.

Swindon Dance Wins BBC Fellowship

BBC Performing Arts Fund Dance Fellowship 2011

We are delighted to announce that Swindon Dance has been awarded a BBC Performing Arts Fund Dance Fellowship, one of 13 grants made to dance organisations across the country. The grant enables us host a placement for 2011/12. Our Fellow is choreographer James Wilton, who is a graduate of London Contemporary Dance School .... read on
